Parts / Service Writer / Warehouse (Sacramento Branch)

Owen Equipment is an industry leader in sales, service, rentals and support of environmental equipment to cities, state DOTs, municipalities and contractors. We have a position available for a highly motivated parts / warehouse / service writer to join our team in Sacramento, California.

Job duties:

• Receive / stock parts in the warehouse and prepare proper paperwork for processing at main branch
• Maintain inventory order and cleanliness
• Assist customers over the phone with parts orders
• Pull counter parts orders for timely and accurate shipment or for will-call pickup
• Manage service work orders by entering mechanics' daily time by job, procuring parts required for service orders and billing customers for work performed.
• Perform excellent customer service in every respect

Job requirements:

• Minimum 2 years experience in parts sales (counter parts and telephone orders)
• Experience with shipping and freight management (UPS/LTL)
• Must be computer literate (able to perform data entry) with experience in Microsoft Office Products a plus
• Excellent customer service skills to promote customer satisfaction, problem resolution and maintain customer loyalty
• Must be articulate and possess strong interpersonal and human relations skills
• Knowledge of governmental and municipal procurement processes a plus
• Experience with environmental equipment, parts and accessories a plus

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, sense of urgency for customer service and the desire to become an effective member of a winning team.  Must have a valid driver's license and insurance.
