Elgin Sweeper Announces Partnership With Autocar LLC
Partnership leads to industry’s first modern Class 7 cabover truck chassis specifically designed for street sweeping applications

ELGIN, Ill. (Sept. 2, 2011) – Elgin Sweeper, the leading domestic manufacturer of street sweepers for general street maintenance, special industrial and airport applications, has announced the formation of a strategic partnership with Autocar LLC, a manufacturer of heavy-duty low cab forward Class 8 trucks used by municipalities, fleets and private haulers. The companies formed this ground-breaking partnership to co-develop and introduce the industry’s first modern Class 7 cabover truck chassis specifically for street sweepers. ELGIN SWEEPER INTRODUCES CROSSWIND GLYCOL RECOVERY SWEEPER
Optional model ideal for sweeping, removing fluid runoff on airport runways and gate locations
ELGIN, ILL. (Oct. 20, 2010) – Elgin Sweeper recently introduced a glycol recovery sweeper (GRS) option for the Crosswind® high-performance regenerative air sweeper. The optional model includes all the sweeping performance, maintenance and design features of the Crosswind sweeper, which has been popular with users worldwide for more than 20 years. The Crosswind GRS is ideal for efficient sweeping and removal of debris and environmentally damaging glycol and other deicing fluid runoff on airways and gate locations before it migrates into the ecosystem. New Road Wizard from Elgin Sweeper Features Improved Design: ELGIN, Ill. (May 10, 2010) – Elgin Sweeper has introduced a new Road Wizard mechanical sweeper featuring an improved design and available with a choice of chasses – Freightliner, UD, International, conventional or cabover. The new design features improved styling; an improved spray system water pump; more efficient hydraulics; a more robust sweeper, lift and hopper frame and improved service access. The sweeper is powered by a liquid-cooled, low emission Tier 4i engine that provides variable control over sweeper speeds with no effect on truck speed. (read more)

Elgin Sweeper Introduces Waterless Version Of Pelican Three-Wheel Broom Sweeper: ELGIN, Ill. (April 2, 2009) – Elgin Sweeper, the leader in environmentally efficient street sweepers, has introduced the latest version of its legendary Pelican® three-wheel broom street sweeper now available with waterless dust control. Sweeper Test Results Highlight Positive Impact Of Sweeping On Reducing Storm Water Pollution - Results emphasize Elgin Sweeper’s role in removing storm water pollutants: ELGIN, ILL. (Jan. 30, 2008) – Elgin Sweeper, the leading manufacturer of street sweepers, has released results of a rigorous sweeper test performed by an independent group of storm water control experts, that demonstrate the efficiency of Elgin Sweeper street sweepers in removing storm water pollutants. The test was conducted on four Elgin Sweeper models – a prototype Crosswind NX high-performance filter regeneration sweeper with dust control, the regenerative air Crosswind®, the vacuum Whirlwind® MV and the mechanical Waterless Eagle® FW.
